In early May the South Beloit Fire Department in Cooperation with the Pecatonica Fire Protection District held Rope Operations Class. This 40 hour class teaches individuals to the basics of ropes and rescue equipment, mechanical advantage, operating rope rescue systems and how to work as a team. 18 students from 6 area departments participated.
