Gardner/75 Corridor Study Public Input Meeting #2 was held January 31, 2023 at Nature at the Confluence. Click here to download a PDF of the slide show presentation from that meeting.

Background: A traffic study of the Illinois Route 75 (Gardner Street) corridor is being conducted by the Stateline Area Transportation Study (SLATS MPO) and the City of South Beloit.  This study, which extends from Illinois Route 2 (Blackhawk Boulevard) to the Illinois-Wisconsin state line, will evaluate traffic operations, traffic safety, access, and multimodal accommodations along the roadway and recommend solutions that will address current and anticipated corridor deficiencies.  While this project will evaluate existing features such as roadway and intersection geometrics, there is no construction project associated with this study, or its recommendations, at this time. This meeting introduced and discussed alternatives that were developed to meet the study’s purpose and goals.
