The City of South Beloit has entered into a partnership with the Town of Beloit to provide full-time staffing for the City of South Beloit Fire Department. This collaboration underscores the Town of Beloit’s commitment to delivering highly trained firefighter/paramedics equipped to handle a wide range of emergencies as well as proves our area's cooperative spirit.

Fire engines in South Beloit have been standardized to align with the Town of Beloit Fire Department’s specifications. These updates ensure familiarity, consistency, and operational efficiency for personnel, enhancing their comfort and effectiveness during emergency responses.

Effective June 1st, 2022 the South Beloit Fire Department is contracting with the City of Beloit Fire Department to provide fire chief services to its community The South Beloit City Council and the Beloit City Council approved an intergovernmental agreement this week that provides a deputy fire chief from Beloit to serve as fire chief on a part-time basis in South Beloit. Deputy Chief Jason Griffin will serve as the fire chief in South Beloit.
