Sinnissippi Audubon Chapter and Green-Rock Audubon Chapter are co-hosting a wonderful public program featuring bird expert Josh Engel.

Cuban Tody
Birds have been central to Josh’s life for as long as he can remember. He learned that there was something called “birding” at age 12 and pursued it with abandon, biking around Evanston, where he grew up, talking his parents into taking him, or hitching rides with adult birders. His life since has followed birds to all corners of the globe–especially for research and guiding–as he’s tried to transform his passion into a career.
It has all led to his current endeavor, running his company Red Hill Birding, organizing and leading birding tours around Illinois, the US, and the world.
In this talk he will talk about how he got to here, the positive influence of birders and birding organizations on his path, and how he is trying to pay it forward.
