The City of South Beloit has made the following changes to parking ordinances on municipal streets within the City:

Sec. 102-42 – Areas where parking restricted generally now includes “Directly in front of, opposite, or next to a driveway in such a manner as to block ingress or egress from such driveway”.

Effective January 1, 2020 the City of South Beloit will be enforcing even/odd parking regulations in the City:

Sec. 102-52 – Odd/even parking. On even-numbered calendar days, vehicles may be parked on that side of the street where even-numbered buildings are or would be located, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on the following day. On odd-numbered calendar days, vehicles may be parked on that side of the street where odd-numbered buildings are or would be located, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8 a.m. on the following day.

Signs posted includes, but is not limited to, physically posted signs, notice posted on the City website, or designation in a City Ordinance.

The penalty for violating the Parking Ordinance is $30 and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.

Unattended motor vehicle parking on municipal streets for extended periods of time has also been amended:

Sec 102-71 – Definitions

Unattended motor vehicle means any motor vehicle left unattended for a period of 72 hours or more in the city right of way. In order to not be an unattended motor vehicle, the vehicle must be re-parked on the other side of the street or on a different street.
