South Beloit Fire Department Announces Dispatch Center Change

The South Beloit Fire Department (SBFD) is making an important change to its emergency dispatch operations. Beginning soon, all calls for service will be routed through the Winnebago County Sheriff’s 911 Center.

As part of this transition, SBFD will share a radio frequency with the Rockton Fire Department. This adjustment is designed to streamline communication between agencies and improve the overall efficiency of emergency responses.

Faster Call Processing for Improved Response Times.  This change is expected to significantly reduce call processing times, allowing SBFD to respond more quickly to emergencies. By enhancing coordination and reducing delays, the department continues its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the South Beloit community.

The SBFD appreciates the community’s support as these operational upgrades are implemented. For updates and additional information, stay tuned to the department’s official web page.
