EVERY SATURDAY!  9 am to 1 pm, join us for DIY storytime.  In February the theme is Rainbow Fish.  Rainbow Fish books will be available along with supplies to make your own rainbow fish to take home. Available every Saturday in February.

Regular City Council Meetings are scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 5:00PM.
All meetings are held at South Beloit City Hall, 519 Blackhawk Blvd. in the City Council Chambers. The public is welcome to attend.

All special City Council Meetings, Council Committee Meetings, and Council Advisory Meetings will be held with at least a 48 hour notice.

Little Builders Club for 6 and under @ South Beloit Library

Little Builders Club is for those under 6 years of age.  It will be held the first Monday of each month at 6 pm. Builders will be using Duplo blocks and Mega block- style blocks for their constructions. This is a free-style play time.

New Mini Makers Program!

A new program has started for children in grades 1-4.  Mini Makers will be held the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6 to 7 pm.  Participants will complete various activities that may include crafts, games, or STEAM projects.  Extend the learning beyond the session by reading books that relate to the focus of the night.  No sign up is necessary.  Just join us!  Cans of paint colors

Family After Hours Returns!

Family After Hours Returns!          Our library will host a Family After Hours event from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm on March 13, 2020.  In this FREE event players will become living pieces as they wind their way through our Life Size Chutes and Ladders game.  There will be refreshments and opportunities to extend the fun beyond the game board!

Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book Club @ South Beloit Library

Dark Fantasy BackgroundAttention Sci-Fi / Fantasy Fans:  These will be normally held the second Saturday of each month, from 9 a.m. for youth  grades 9 through adults.  January’s meeting will be the first Saturday.

These will be held at our library for youth  grades 9 through adults.  Have fun talking about science fiction and fantasy topics in literature, media, gaming and the arts.  The club will select a book each month to read and then discuss the following month.  March 14th we will discuss Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.

“Creatures of The Deep Blue Sea” Growing Up Wild™ Program – Ages 4-7 @ Nature At The Confluence Campus

Beat the winter blues with a virtual trip to the sea!

Your Growing Up Wild leaders will be just coming back from the beach in Florida and will be bringing back some cool stuff for you to learn about! Each child will be able to take home a real shark tooth fossil and a shell found on the beach in Englewood, FL – the shark tooth capital of Florida!

Kids and families will enjoy story time, sensory play time and art in this free program recommended for ages 4-7. Siblings are welcome!

Growing Up WILD is an early childhood education program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. fun, innovative activities and experiences.
