Welcome to the City of South Beloit!
Our location, reasonable housing costs, and friendly residents make South Beloit a great place to live, work, learn, and play. Good schools, beautiful parks, and easy access are just some of the reasons to be here. Manufacturing and retail businesses realize the great value of our being part of city.
The City of South Beloit was incorporated in 1917. Located on the border of Illinois and Wisconsin along the scenic riverfront of the Rock River and Turtle Creek, the city is easily accessible off interstate highways I-90, I-39, and I-43. Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison are all within 90 miles.
